Why did you choose a career in policing?
I chose a career in Policing because I wanted to be someone people could call on when they had no other options. I also wanted to serve my community by being an active presence and providing a positive experience for the citizens of this community. I am passionate about this job and dedicated to helping others learn how to become the best Police Officer they can be.
What is your best part about working for the FPD and in the Fargo community?
What I like about FPD are the number of opportunities for Officers to choose their own career path and seek out their own interests. FPD also offers a lot of training both in house and external for Officers to attend. Most of all, I really enjoy the culture of professionalism and dedication FPD demonstrates to both its Officers and community.
What is your favorite Academy/Training memory?
My favorite academy memories are seeing a group of strangers come together and become a high performing team. This job is unique in that it brings people from all kinds of backgrounds together to serve a common purpose. This often creates tight bonds with people you wouldn’t normally interact with.
